Lady Macaron is back in action 🙂
My hubby and I had such a great time on our Mauritius trip, it really was worth every penny or shall I say… every Rupee:)
Reasons why I love Mauritius:
Beautiful tropical weather, white sandy beaches, long afternoon sunbathing, the greenest plantation, sugar cane fields for days and days (we arrived just in time for the harvest), warm sea waters, tubs of Passion fruit sorbets (like literally a 2 litre tub a day hehe), Tim Tams – the best chocolate biscuit you will ever taste… they are seriously life changing and the only chocolate thing I really enjoy! The most amazing seafood dishes served straight out of the sea:)
Of course I was on a quest for some authentic Mauritian macarons (because it is after all a french speaking island) I only found 3 places that made them.
Two were not very good at all but I found 1 place which was by far the best that Mauritius had to offer! OK so it is after all an island and these things are usually quite limited.
But these macarons were really good, like really!!
I bought a box of 10 but then just had to add an extra 5 cause Im a bit of an addict as you know, some of the flavours were: Strawberry, Fruits of the forest, Banana, Salted caramel, Vanilla, Passion fruit, Grapefruit, Raspberry, Coffee and Tiramisu (My absolute favourite).
All in all it was a great holiday but I’m happy to be back and to be baking my yummy macs again, I missed them hehe…
